Zoey
Ok...so i got a new puppy!! She is a very cute, female silky terrier. I have had her about 1 week, and she has a whole lot of character! I call her my "little devil bunny" because she actually really resembles a bunny with her big ears and bobbed tail, and she likes to hop around. The devil part comes from the fact that she's a spaz when I come home from work.....spinning circles, running aimlessly, randomly biting anything in her path. We are potty training right now and Zoey is actually doing very well. She does poop everyday and every night in her pin, but that's expected because she is only 10 weeks old. I am running out of things she can sleep on because of it though. She started out on a very nice memory foam bed, a blanket, then I went to hand towels, and now pillow cases I never use, all have been destroyed. She doesn't poop on them just steps in the poop and then lays down in bed. We used our last bed option last night so I will have to get more hand towels tonight seeing as laundry day is tomorrow. She really likes to eat foreign objects from the yard as well....unidentifiable objects.....as well as leaves and seed pods and my plants. Zoey started out whining occasionally in the night, waking me up, but the past two nights have been uninterupted. I'm not sure if this is because she now knows it's bedtime and has stopped, or if I'm so tired I just don't wake up anymore. We play tug of war a lot with a knotted towel, and she also loves her bones. Although she is very energetic and playful, she also loves to snuggle. Sometimes when I get the towel to play tug of war she just climbs up in my lap and curls up with her ears back. I remember one day this week she was sleeping on the couch by me and I went to pet her, when suddenly she went from very asleep to very awake lunging at my face. It was like laying down, eyes closed to launching through the air. Very funny. My favorite moments with her this week are when I get in the shower and leave the curtain open half way so I can see her and she jumps her front paws on the side of the tub and puts her ears back when I talk to her from inside the shower. She also licks my toes when I get out. She is very cute and I love her lots!! Next week we will be looking forward to getting her nails trimmed and going to the vet! (well I don't think she will be looking forward to it)

She definately looks like a little Nellie dog! I can hardly wait to pet her. Dad says he can wait. He would rather hug you instead.
ReplyDeleteCamberly and I agree Zoey is a Nellie dog. Those are some funny dog stories. Our dogs do crazy spaz things when we get home and they do the sleep to awake to asleep again within minutes. Very fun.
